SARCAN
The Prince Albert and District Community Service Centre operates
two of the SARCAN depots. SARCAN provides many job opportunities through recycling, they are doing their part for local employment, environmental protection, and economic development At SARCAN, they operate under their three E motto Employment Creation: They employ people of all abilities and the majority of their employees are either persons with disabilities or those formerly on social assistance. Economic Development: Every year they return deposit funds paid on containers to the people of Saskatchewan. Over the last 10 years, they have raised close to half a million dollars for the TeleMiracle charity. Environmental Protection: across the province, nearly half a billion beverage containers are recycled, and have successfully recycled over six billion containers since 2015. |
