2022 "Mary" - Iris Morris
" ...gives me independence...
...sense of managing your own life..." Iris will be 92 years young come September, around our annual Two Miles for Mary fundraiser on September 29, 2022. As a child, Iris was raised on a farm in the Paddockwood area and spent most of her life in Northside. Joining in on bazaars, bake sales, school, Legion, and church, Iris was very involved in her Northside community. At various times, she worked at her local store, café, and Art Gallery. Iris now resides in her own apartment, living in Prince Albert for the last 12 years, and is still an active member of the ACW (Anglican Church Women). Iris raised four children with her husband, who blessed her with 6 grandkids and 8 great-grandkids, many of whom still live in the area. Iris Morris is our "Mary" for 2022.

"... a wonderful thing when the time comes; when you give up your own freedom..."

Iris chooses to use Seniors Transportation for several reasons. The drivers have such great attitude, always cheerful and outgoing. They always open the door for her, making sure she gets into her building safely before driving off. As well as any extra help in managing her packages.
Iris now uses Seniors Transportation for her weekly visit to the Day Centre at the Vic Hospital, weekly visits to the hair salon, grocery runs and bank visits. Iris occasionally takes Access Transit, because it can more easily accommodate her walking aid.
