2024 "Mary" - Rolena Krawec

Rolena Krawec, a long-standing community leader and dedicated volunteer, has been selected as this year’s “Mary” for the Two Miles for Mary fundraiser. Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Rolena spent decades serving her community as Postmaster and mayor in Weirdale, where she was instrumental in securing grants for community projects and supporting local seniors. Her lifelong commitment to service and her passion for helping others make her a fitting spokesperson for this important cause.
 
Now retired and living in Prince Albert, Rolena continues to embody the values of care and community. Two Miles for Mary, the annual fundraiser for the Seniors’ Transportation service, is a vital lifeline for seniors like her, helping maintain independence by providing affordable, reliable rides to essential destinations like medical appointments and grocery stores. Rolena’s selection as “Mary” highlights her enduring dedication to the well-being of her community’s seniors.
