A message from our Chairperson

Picture

I am pleased to provide this report to the Community Service Centre membership for the year ending March 31, 2022.

The Centre has continued to provide its core services under contract with the province of Ministry of Immigration and Career Training, the Ministry of Social Services, the city of Prince Albert, and the Saskatchewan Association of Rehabilitation Centre through SARCAN. These funding partnerships allow us to continue to provide many essential services to residents of Prince Albert, and the program details are found later in this report. Statistics contained within this report only tell part of the story.

The real story is found in the single parent’s transition to employment, the day trip that Access Transit is able to accommodate for an individual or group, the positive impact on the environment and economy through SARCAN operations.

The community has continued to support our Two Miles for Mary campaign. Thank you to Pattison Broadcast group Conexus and Diamond North Credit Union volunteers, Meyers Norris Penny auditors, and the community at large for your support of the Seniors Transportation Program.
I want to thank my fellow Board members for their many contributions to the governance of the Centre. Once again, this year tested the resiliency of the Centre across all program and service delivery areas.  The strength and stability of the organization at the Board and staff level is very evident at times like this.

Finally, I want to thank Centre staff and management for your dedication and commitment to providing high quality services for residents of Prince Albert. This year has been a time of transition at the management level, and I appreciate your willingness to accept and take on extra duties during this time. Thank you! The value of these services is at the heart of the organization and your contributions improve the quality of life for those whom we serve.

It has been an honor to serve as the Chairperson for the Centre Board of Directors for this past term and I congratulate staff and participants on their many successes and look forward to more of the same.
