Work PreparationThe services provided from Work Preparation include vocational planning, assessments in work, vocational, and psychological, testing for skills and their aptitude in correlation to work. Negotiating wage subsidies and providing job search skills are provided as well.
They can be referred to services for adult education, life skill courses, skill training, and other employment, health, and social service community resources. Work Prep focuses on adults with multiple barriers to finding and maintaining employment in Prince Albert and district. Any barrier regarding mental or physical health, substance abuse, language barriers, transportation, any barrier that limits long term employment is recognized by the vocational counsellor.
