Mission
To provide opportunities for parents who are experiencing barriers that prevent them from entering the work force.
We Provide
We provide assessment; action planning (employment, childcare, housing, accommodation); budget management supports and learning for individuals transitioning from income support to employment; employment counseling; referral to other community resources; resume writing; job search; and employment supports (job coaching, job maintenance, follow-up).
We also provide three job finding clubs we call Life Balance 1, Life Balance 2, and In-Depth Career Exploration.
Target Group
Parents applying for benefits via the Saskatchewan Assistance Program (SAP) or Transitional Employment Allowance (TEA) and those already in receipt of TEA or SAP will be referred to the Accelerated Employment Service if they meet the following criteria:
- Single or two parent household with dependent children between the ages of 3 months and 18 years;
- No self declared disability;
- Minimum grade ten education and/or at least three months of employment in the last 24 months; and
- Resident of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
