Free Training Sites

The following are a list of sites where you can get free training.  Many sites offer certificates and all of the information is useful. We have included some information for kids and families too. Please note that Serve it Right and some other certificate programs can now be accessed by phone and tablet as well as computer.
Workplace Health and Safety Courses
The Canadian Centre for Work Place Safety has access to a huge number of work place certificate programs.  Some are free and some have a small cost.  These are very valuable for you when you are applying for any position.  To assist you with registration please see the slideshow below.

Maybe at the moment you are not sure where you want to work or what you want to do for a careers.  Sask Polytech has a free interest inventory that you can do to get an idea about what kind of work might be right for you.

The Khan Academy is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing learning.  It deals mostly with school based material but there is a great goal setting section, a class on personal finance and other great areas.  Have a look and you might see something you are very interested in.

1. Accessibility for Ontarian with Disabilities Act - Training in how businesses must act to be accessible for people with disabilities.
2. Crane and Hoist Hand Signalling - Training for how to signal in a noise filled or hearing distant environment.
3. Goal Setting - Training to be able to set and achieve goals.
4. Safety Knowledge Evaluation (SKE) - Do you know your work place safety facts?
5. Sit Down Fork Lift Pre-Shift Inspection - The first step to getting forklift certification

Community Futures Saskatchewan has a list of free educational videos and an connections to experts to assist you in starting your own business.  It is easy to use and gives you a step by step guide to setting up your new business.
